From a love of the mountains and the search for a special and unique place, Casa do Penedo was born, located in Castro Laboreiro, in the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park!
Surrounded by privacy and designed with great care and attention to detail, as soon as you open the gate, you are struck by the magic of the place and its iconic “Penedo” (rock), which lends its name to this accommodation. It is the rock that welcomes those who choose to create memories here, in a stay that offers nature in its purest form!
Casa do Penedo is a fully restored country house, designed to welcome guests in comfort and offer rest and tranquillity!
In the main house, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with air conditioning and a guest toilet. Upstairs, there is a bathroom with a shower and two bedrooms: one with a double bed and an outdoor balcony, and the other with a double bed, a single bed and a window overlooking the iconic Castro Laboreiro Castle.
In the courtyard of the house, you can enjoy an outdoor dining area, complete with a barbecue, gas stove, refrigerator, and water tap. Next to this area, there is also a small studio with a kitchenette, bathroom with shower, and a bedroom with a double bed and electric heating. There is also an annex with a storage and laundry area that can be useful for longer stays.
The outdoor space has been designed and organised so that you can enjoy a rejuvenation of all your senses, surrounded by the sound of water flowing in the stream, the breeze rustling the leaves on the trees and the birds singing, inviting us to listen to their meditative melody. A forest just for you awaits...
With native trees, an old wood-fired oven and a small wooden hut for the little ones, this little corner of nature is your exclusive retreat!
